The recent resurgence of live, local music continues this coming Thursday, November 12 on the Mane Stage of Brisbane’s Woolly Mammoth with four of South-East Queensland’s finest bands joining forces to brush off their lockdown cobwebs proudly brought to you by MMK Music Promotions.
Headlining the night will be Gold Coast metal pioneers Kaosphere.
With a unique blending of metalcore and nu-metal punctuated by rap elements, Kaosphere have a heavy, driving sound that is tailor-made for the big stage. After their planned Australian tour this year was struck down by the hands of fate, Kaosphere have decided to channel all of their energy into reaffirming their standing on the local front and have vowed to show the Woolly mammoth what the rest of the country has missed out on.
Brisbane outfit Piston Fist continually defy their relative new kids on the block status with powerful performances that see their fan base swell with each outing. With their brand of hard rock affectionately dubbed ‘Petrol Rock’, Piston Fist are another band eager to display their ways once more in a live setting.
Locals 57 Below are what you could call a perfect amalgamation of eclectic personalities. Led by a death metal Sicilian guitarist, a laid back NT stoner rock type also on guitar, a veteran punk drummer from Blowhard and a blues guitarist, 57 Below guarantee to take everything you thought you knew about music and throw it into a virtual time machine to create a sound uniquely their own.
Opening the night will be Brisbane outfit Strange Fiction who are an explosively refreshing presence on the local scene, blending a plethora of sounds to create their own incarnation of hardcore and southern riffs with an underlying heavier presence sure to punctuate your very soul.
