The undisputed masters of blackened deathcore, CARNIFEX, have returned to ignite sonic memories of albums past with the scorch of old-school sound. On September 3rd, the band will release their eighth studio album via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, the band releases the music video for the track “Graveside Confessions”. Check out the video directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera, here:
CARNIFEX comments, “This is an immensely personal album to all four of us. We poured our hearts with all the love, fear, and pain we know into this album. Please take the journey with us.” CARNIFEX’s GRAVESIDE CONFESSIONS is no stranger to the harsh world in which it was created. While all of humanity experiences the turmoil of pain, weakness, and betrayal, it is also deeply ingrained in our nature to keep these notions closely protected; to keep them secret. Often as we approach death, we feel an insatiable need to reveal these things to one another; to confess. The album arose just in time to aid in celebrating the 15 year anniversary of the debut CARNIFEX album, DEAD IN MY ARMS. The band revisited their first album to re-record 3 songs, but now with huge advancements…Continue Reading

On November 5th, blackgaze masters MØL return with their second studio album, “DIORAMA”, the group’s first for their new label Nuclear Blast Records. Recorded and mixed by Tue Madsen (Gojira, Meshuggah, Heaven Shall Burn) and graced by a cover artwork designed by Jon Gotlev, “DIORAMA” sees the band further developing its captivating, aggressive sound. With swirling guitars and hissing vocals blended into a dreamy ambience of shoegaze, the highflyers from Aarhus, Denmark, will deliver a crushing yet otherworldly follow-up to their debut album “Jord” from 2018. Today, MØL unveils ‘Photophobic’, the first single off the band’s anticipated sophomore studio album, which comes with a haunting music video directed by Kasper Jensen / M2 Film, so brace yourself for a ferocious yet melodic blackgaze monument. “‘Photophobic’ is centered around denial and self-deception. Fear of exposure of one’s past”, vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf explains. “The song encapsulates the dread of forcefully venturing through the painful but nonetheless important places of one self and your history.” Nicolai Busse Bladt adds: “Writing our debut JORD seemed like the culmination of our first two EPs. We had achieved a sound and an approach to creating music that is distinctly ours. ‘DIORAMA’ is both refinement and…Continue Reading

Since emerging onto the music scene in 2018 Light The Torch have quickly risen through the ranks to become one of the most recognisable acts doing the rounds.
Having Howard Jones (former Killswitch Engage) as vocalist has been a large attraction, but it is the engine room of Francesco Artusato (guitar) and Ryan Wombacher (bass) that has laid the heavy foundations which has seen Light The Torch produce yet another masterclass of an album with their second release You Will Be The Death Of Me via Nuclear Blast coming out on June 25.

After incubating for the larger part of 2020 – at time when creative mastermind Al Jourgensen was able to ruminate on the new world we as a society have found ourselves in – the time has finally come for MINISTRY to unleash their much-anticipated 15th studio album. Aptly titled “Moral Hygiene”, the album will be released via Nuclear Blast Records on October 1st. With some of MINISTRY’s strongest and most inspired material to date, the 10 tracks are a follow-up to 2018’s lauded “AmeriKKKant” and put forth Jourgensen’s societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity. “The good thing about literally taking a year off from any social activity or touring is that you really get to sit back and get an overview of things as they are happening, as opposed to being caught up in the moment. And what I saw with how we handled several public crises – from the pandemic to racial injustice to who we vote in to lead our country – is that times are changing, and society needed to change to get away from the idea that has permeated us of…Continue Reading

Norwegian death metal vets BLOOD RED THRONE will release their 10th album, “Imperial Congregation”, on October 8th with Nuclear Blast. Today, the band has released a lyric video for a vicious new single titled ‘Itika’. WATCH THE LYRIC VIDEO FOR “ITIKA”: STREAM “ITIKA”: Founding guitarist Daniel Olaisen says of the track: “‘Itika’ was one of the first songs I wrote for this album and it’s heavy as fuck. Some real cool rhythm stuff going on and somewhat futuristic leads. ‘Itika’ stands out on the album as a more fictional love song. Some necrophile dude, longing to get the sexy corpse, which keeps ignoring him. He wishes he was good enough, or dead enough, to get her in the end.” Pre-order “Imperial Congregation”: “Imperial Congregation” Tracklisting:
1. Imperial Congregation
2. Itika
3. Conquered Malevolence
4. Transparent Existence
5. Inferior Elegance
6. We All Bleed
7. 6-7
9. Consumed Illusion
10. Hero-Antics
11. Zarathurstra With over 25 years and 10 albums soon to be under their belt, BLOOD RED THRONE is dedicated to the continual delivery of straight forward, exceptional death metal with “Imperial Congregation” being no exception. “This time around we’ve made something new and fresh in our sound. We felt it from the very first song…Continue Reading

Polish death metal legends Vader released their much acclaimed 15th full length, Solitude In Madness, in 2020 and proved to the world that even after almost 40 years of existence they were still one of the leading forces within their genre … and beyond.
However, let’s not forget that the year 2020 also marked the 25th anniversary of Vader’s classic and much sought-after second album De Profundis (first released 1995 in Poland), which hasn’t been properly available in physical form in about two decades, although it’s regarded by many fans as one of the best albums in the band’s catalogue.
